How to convert SoundCloud to MP3

  1. Copy the track’s link. In the SoundCloud app tap Share, then Copy link. On a computer, copy the address bar: soundcloud.com, the artist, then the track.
  2. Paste it above. MP3 at 192 kbps is the default, and conversion starts on its own.
  3. Tap Download. The MP3 saves with the track’s title, the artist and the artwork written into it.

Which bitrate should I choose?

SoundCloud streams most tracks as AAC at 160 kbps; the track we measured in October 2026 came that way, and some uploads stream at 96 or 128 kbps. 192 kbps keeps everything in that stream, which is why it is the default. 320 kbps can’t add detail the stream never had, but some DJ software expects it. 128 kbps is the smallest file. M4A copies SoundCloud’s AAC as it is, with no new encode.

Which tracks can be converted

Any track that plays in full for everyone: originals, remixes, DJ mixes and podcasts, and private tracks shared with you through a link with an s- code in it. A few can’t be:

  • SoundCloud Go+ tracks. Many major-label songs give the public only a 30-second preview. ezmp3 tells you so instead of handing you 30 seconds of the song.
  • Protected tracks. Some labels lock their tracks against downloading.
  • Playlists and albums. Paste one track at a time.
  • Tracks over 90 minutes, such as the longest DJ sets.

How long does it take?

On our server a 3½-minute track became a 5.2 MB MP3 at 192 kbps in 16 seconds, with its artwork written in at 600 × 600. If someone converted the same track in the last six hours, the file is already there and the Download button appears at once.

Questions

Is it free?

Yes. No ads, no pop-ups, no account.

Why can’t I convert some songs?

They are SoundCloud Go+ tracks, which the public can only hear as a 30-second preview, or tracks their owner protects against downloading.

Can I download a whole playlist?

Not yet. Open the playlist, copy one track’s link and paste it here.

Does the MP3 include the artwork?

Yes. The track’s title, the artist and the artwork are written into every MP3 and M4A.

Do share links from the app work?

Yes. Links from the app’s Share button (on.soundcloud.com) work the same as soundcloud.com links.

How long is my file kept?

Six hours. After that it is deleted from our server and the download link stops working.

Is it legal to convert SoundCloud tracks?

It depends on the track and where you live. Convert what you have the right to keep. When an artist allows downloads, SoundCloud shows its own Download button for the original file.
